Sometimes my forearms just kind of hurt, specifically the larger muscle on the upper part of the arm. Perhaps this is because I spend a lot of time at the computer? I’m not sure.

Are there exercises that would help? What can I do?

    go to the doc and have them check for heart problems dont say you are to young my husband was in early 20′s with first heart attach my mom was early fortys

    I have faced a similar muscle ache problem, especially when i was learning to drive and when there was a lot of work on the computer. If you are experiencing a dull ache on the upper arm muscle it could be mostly due to working in one position for a long while. Try to take breaks in between work. Try arm chair exercises and stretching. If pain continues for a long while, please consult a orthopedic doctor or your physician.

    Is it cold where you live? Might be arthritis, many different kinds! Get it checked out, in the mean time ibuprofen or some other kind of inflammatory, see if this subsides the pain?

    You have tendonitis..which is caused generally by repetitive use, though a strain from a singular event could be to blame to. Did you recently hurt it or is this an ongoing issue… you should look into proper ergonomics if you know you’re a frequent computer user. Proper ergonomics includes keyboard & body positioning, your chair, etc. Along with proper ergonomics you can do “min-stretches” while at your computer station, though if you have the flexability to get away from the computer that would be better. Either way do some exercises with your arms, back, neck. Depending on computer usage and pain level you mght ned to do them every 5 minutes, 15 or 30.

    If you’re catching this in the early stages (hopefully) it is likely with ergonomic changes, and stretching possibly seeing a medical professional and getting some antinflammatories you could nip this in the bud before it becomes permanent.
