Forearm Exercise Equipment, why do we need it?

It is no secret that there’s thousands and thousands of individuals all over the world that love to work out. Numerous people also like to take part in body building.
However, an area that regularly gets left out of the workout routine is the forearm. This is the reason why forearm exercise equipment is becoming more and more popular. When people begin building their muscle mass, they frequently do pretty well with building up the bicep and triceps muscles. But the forearms just appear to be forgotten about.

If the forearms don’t get the correct training, the muscle could be strained or even injured by doing exercises incorrectly. The good news is that there are special pieces of exercise equipment that are specifically designed to make sure that the forearms are trained correctly while being protected at the same time.

An excellent piece of forearm exercise equipment is a hand gripper, such as Captains of Crush or Heavy Grips. There are several other brands the market, but the mentioned two are by far the best, Captains of Crush are used by ex Worlds Strongest Man Magnus Samuelsson, who is certified at Ironmind for closing the No. 4 Captains of Crush Gripper. He has a super strong grip and forearm power.
In general the gripper is perfect for strengthening the muscles of the forearm and increasing grip strength. Overall hand strength and wrist stability is also increased.

Another forearm exerciser that is effective looks similar to a robot arm which attaches over your forearm, it packs quite a powerful punch and has a changeable forearm and wrist support. Resistance is variable, enabling the user to measure success. It certainly helps to have a piece of equipment that has adjustable lengths, this enables it to be used no matter what a persons arm size is. Different tension levels are also great as these can be adjusted to match your current level of forearm strength.

There’s also the common barbell, the barbell can be used to do wrist curls, reverse wrist curls, reverse curls and hammer curls. When using the barbell it is important that the muscles of the forearm are completely isolated for the best results. Always making sure to use the full range of motion when doing the exercises.

Maybe you’re not a bodybuilder yourself, so why should you need to strengthen your forearms?

Well, there are several reasons. If you play Tennis or Golf, the stronger your forearms are; the better your performance will be.
If you like Rock Climbing, you certainly need to have a strong grip and forearms to keep you from falling off the rock face or mountain side.

Whatever the reason, stronger muscles equals a stronger, healthier body which in turn mean less change of injury. Even though you may not think about your forearms and forearm exercise equipment a lot, you’d certainly be thinking about them if they got injured and you couldn’t hold your cup of coffee or glass of beer ;o)
